The Royal Medical Foundation (RMF) is a registered subsidiary charity and a company limited by guarantee, and is governed by its memorandum and articles of association.

The RMF exists to support medical practitioners and/or their dependants who find themselves in financial hardship. There are three ways this help may be given:

•  Regular payments to widows, widowers and dependants.

•  The provision of one-off grants when urgent help is required.

•  Financial assistance with educational expenses.
