The Conjoint Committee

The Conjoint Committee meets three times a year to consider applications for assistance and consists of the following members:

The process of making awards requires the Conjoint Committee to draw on their years of accumulated experience and wisdom. Compassion, intuition and judgement combined with lively discussion and at times, courage, are required to take the most beneficial and useful course of action for the applicant. It is understood that families at times of tragedy maybe unable to provide adequate support for their children, which would include financial support, particularly in relation to their education.

All RMF grants are subject to a comprehensive annual review and are only continued for a further period if the circumstances are appropriate and if the funds are available. All awards are met from the resources of the Charity, which is supported by donations and bequests from Local Medical Committees, Medical Charities, Medical Organisations and individual Medical Practitioners.
